Welcome Message from Dr. Graddick

Welcome to Felton Laboratory Charter for the 2024 – 2025 school year. I am Dr. Jean Graddick. I have served in education for the past 26 years and am delighted and honored to serve as your new Director.

Felton Laboratory Charter is a school that offers students a rigorous and engaging curriculum in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Thus, an essential part of Felton's mission is that our students are taught utilizing a STEAM framework that teaches the subject matter and encourages students to learn by asking questions, conducting experiments, and creating.

For the 2024 - 2025 school year, we will continue building upon past successes while creating a stronger foundation for new learning and achievement opportunities. By collaborating, providing resources, and advocating for STEAM education, Felton has and will continue to inspire a new generation of critical thinkers, problem solvers, and innovators, equipping them with the skills necessary for college and career readiness. 

We know that parents, communities, and partnerships are vital resources to the children and staff of Felton Laboratory Charter School.  Thus, we encourage each of you to be involved in your child's education and partner with us in their education. Together, we can: 

• Ensure every student feels safe, loved, and empowered to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. 
• Establish and maintain partnerships between the home, school, and community to ensure a positive and rewarding learning experience that challenges and stimulates each student.
• Achieve academic excellence for every child via a STEAM-infused curriculum.
